  • A marine survey is not just limited to the condition of the boat, but also cover the loading, lashing, cradles and securing the yacht on the vessel or flat racks. In some cases vessel owners and insurance companies will not carry yachts that have not had a marine survey.
  • If you are purchasing an accident damaged boat, it is likely that it will only be insured if a marine surveyor is done, in order to ascertain the extent of any damage prior to shipping.
