- Shipping yachts on a semi-submersible vessel is a easy and convenient way to ship your yacht with the mast and rigging up.
- So how do they work?
The semi-submersible vessel simply lowers itself in the water so your yacht can be floated on and float-off again at its destination. This dispenses with the need for building cradles, or loading and lashing costs to flat racks. The semi-submersible carrier effectively becomes a floating marina. Once all boats have been loaded aboard the vessel is raised again and all water pumped out of the "floating marina", which has now become a dry dock. All yachts are then lashed and secured ready for the voyage
